Quiet Time
One of the concept that I love about Kindermusik is quiet time. All the children, no matter how young they are, will settle down quietly once the teacher plays the quiet time song in the background. My kids will lie down on the floor, sipping on their water, or just asking me to rock them softly.
I’m using the same concept on my kids especially when we are on the move, or before bedtime. As long as the quiet songs are being played, they will settle down and pretend to fall asleep. If the song is playing for as long as 5 minutes, I have 5 minutes of ME time for myself!
Try this on your kids and see if it works as well. But before that, make sure you get a soft music or song. I have a few from Kindermusik. Besides, it may take some time for the kids to understand the concept of quiet time. So, it’s advisable to start with a short music, instead of a 5-minutes song.

Chinnee, mine are from Kindermusik CD. Maybe you can find them from their websites. Their music class is great for kids.
